Humans

Most are unable to interact with spirits in any way. In rare cases a human is born with the ability to speak and interact with spirits, with the degree of interaction growing with time. Many of the humans introduced in the series have only become spiritually aware through their interaction with series protagonist Ichio Kurosaki and, by extension, his friends. 

Advantages: Start RPG with 20 more BP and gain 5 Distribution Points(stats only) every update extra

Disadvantages: Start with 20 less Distribution Points

Starting Item: A plain weapon of your choice. (ie: Bat, Sword, Hammer, Knuckles).

Shinigami

Shinigami, also known as, Death Gods are spirit beings with high spiritual powers. They are normally, like ghosts, are unsensed by normal human beings. Holding special powers most of these beings act as enforcers between the dead and living realms constantly fighting the Hollows with their Zanpakutos and magical abilities known as Kudous.

Advantages: Start with 10 extra Distribution Points for stats and traits each, Can Learn Kido without trainer but takes 1 week longer. 
 
Disadvantages: When killed spend 1 more week in Rukongai or Hueco Mundo
 
Starting Items: Zanpakuto

Quincy

This is a race that is the Shinigami's biggest rivals. They don't use Zanpakutos but bows made out of Spiritual Power. These are actually humans with an increadibly high spiritual awareness mainly due to survival of hollow attacks. Quincy's power is formed from obsorbing the surrounding spirit particles and forming them into weapons mostly bows and arrows although a few other abilities are available.

Advantages: Start RPG with 10 more Distribution Points (Stats and Traits) and 2,000 more zeni.

Disadvantage: none

Starting Items: Bow and 1 Quincy Tube

Hollow

Even the greatest of the Arrancar had to start out as mere Hollow. These are the main enemies of nearly all races for they feast upon all the souls near them, even themselves to become stronger and attain their individuality or else they shall become part of a greater group and lose all knowledge of selfawareness.

Advantages: May gain +5% of oponents spirit power from battles (regardless of win or loss)  and +5 all stats from spars (regardless of win or loss).

Disadvantages: When killed you are sent to Hueco Mundo.

Starting Items: Claws, Teeth, etc.
